Aluminium Wrapped Wood
Frames made with these mouldings have all the appearance of being made with conventional extruded aluminium, which to most framers would normally mean buying in pre-mitred cut lengths in kit form - a process that can add at least 24 hours to a job. These mouldings have the advantage of being constructed with a thin aluminium skin wrapped on wood, which means that mitres can be cut on a Morso machine or a circular saw and frames are then finished in the same way as regular moulding. The mouldings are supplied protected by a thin plastic film which will prevent any scratches to the aluminium surface during the frame construction and is easily removed before collection by the customer.
